Terms and Conditions for the RSPCA WA – Weekly Raffle – 22 November 2023

These are the raffle conditions which apply to your purchase of entries as a continuing payment supporter in the Weekly Raffles conducted in support of The Royal Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals, Western Australia. ABN 48 626 609 587. These raffle conditions are subject to change and correction. Please review these conditions from time to time as the changes may impact you.

In these conditions the raffle entry purchaser, contact or entry holder as the case may be, are referred to as “you” and RSPCA WA and InsightCFS are referred to as “us”, “we” or “our”, as the context requires.

Ongoing Raffles

For particulars of the Raffle prizes and specific monthly draw dates, please see our website and our correspondence to you for the current raffle particulars.

A new set of raffle draws take place every Friday (or closest business day) at RSPCA WA, 108 Malaga Drive, Malaga WA 6090, PO Box 1764 West Perth WA 6872. In the draw for the prize winners, the major prize will be drawn first and the other prizes drawn in order of decreasing prize value. A winner may win more than once in any weekly prize draw.

We may make changes to the raffle prizes and any changes will be made in these conditions in advance of the monthly permit and your payment. Prize changes will be notified in the ticket draw letter preceding the changed raffle.

Entries and Payment

All entries are $3 and paid in advance once per month on the chosen day. Entries are sold in multiples of 5, starting at $15 for 1 entry per draw (5) in one month. Via telemarketing: entries start at $30 for 2 entries per draw for each month’s five draws. E.g. $3 x 2 x 5 draws. From $30 for 2 entries, your next two options are $45 for 3 entries, then $60 for 4 entries in each draw. See the website for more purchase options.

Tickets are paid for monthly in advance by automatic debit on an agreed date or closest business day. Entry numbers are validated at the end of the month for the next months’ draws.

At purchase time or subsequent contact we may offer you an automatic increase in your monthly payment and entries which will be confirmed prior to the start of the new payment to occur on the anniversary of your first payment in our weekly lottery.

Entrants who win must be Australian residents or if successful in the draw, receive any prize in Australia.

We take care to sell participation in the raffle to adults who understand the purchase and are able to provide payment. We will award the prize to the successful entrant. Where a purchase is made by a young person, to someone apparently inclined to irresponsible gaming or to a vulnerable person we will happily refund the entry purchase sum if that person has not played in a game. We are unable to make refunds after a draw in the absence of exceptional circumstances.

Monthly or other entry purchase payments can be paid for with credit or debit payment card, cheque, direct debit, digital payment wallet or annual prepayment where available. Where you pay with credit or debit payment card, after registration with Westpac merchant processing, we may offer to accept payment for subsequent purchases by resubmitting the registered reference number. You may decline to use that payment method. Payments falling due on a weekend or public holiday may be transacted the day prior and declined payments are retried within five days.

All winning numbers will be published on the same day as the draw at rspcawa.charityraffle.com.au/winners/ The first prize winner is notified by phone, and prizes winners will receive their prize by post.

Unclaimed Prizes

Subject to permit rules, undeposited prize cheques will be cancelled if we do not hear from the winner or the cheque is not deposited within 12 months of the date of the draw. Those prize funds will be received as a donation to RSPCA WA. If you are impacted by this rule you should contact us and we will pay the prize sum after the cut-off date.

Changes To The Draw

To protect us, the operators of the raffle from any cause which may imperil the success of the raffle for us, we reserve the right in our absolute discretion to cancel or postpone any draw or the series of draws, to recommence them and to change the raffle game including by refunding payments in undrawn games, changing the raffle rules, altering the prizes or changing the raffle draw schedule.

We may in our absolute discretion change or cancel the current or future draws including recommence them on new conditions in the event of the interference of an outside agent or event in any manner which adversely impacts or hinders the sales processes, the revenue objectives or any other part of the conduct of the raffle, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, pandemic, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, atomic war, invasion, or strike. Any change under this clause will be notified on our raffle website.

Nothing in this clause shall limit or alter your rights to consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.

General Terms

A percentage of the proceeds of this lottery will be paid to InsightCFS as the professional fundraiser service provider. Our management are not permitted to enter this raffle. All images are for promotional purposes only.

Supporter personal information is not sent overseas for our work but that may occur in the future under supervised conditions. If that change occurs, this policy will be updated.

Raffle proceeds are in support of The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Western Australia Inc. ABN: 77 620 418 137. All entries are $3, paid in bulk once per month for 5 draws each month. Entries are sold in multiples of 5, starting at $15 for 1 entry per draw for one month. Entry bundles sold via telemarketing start at $30 (2 entries per draw for one month) unless signing up for ongoing support. The draws take place every Friday (or closest business day) at our office, 108 Malaga Drive, Malaga WA 6090. Tickets are paid monthly in advance and your numbers are validated on the 21st of each month when your payment is confirmed. A percentage of the proceeds of this raffle will be paid to Insight Holdings Consolidated Pty Ltd Centre Services as a professional fundraiser. Weekly and major prize winners will be published on www.rspcawa.org.au each Monday. All Prize winners will be notified by mail.
